Lisa’s work is holistic in nature while treating the physical issue. Treatment includes an assessment of the problem, explanation and treatment consisting of exericse, yoga-based stretching/breath coordinated movement, biofeedback and hands-on manual adjustments.

A usual treatment consists of exercise, posture re-training and hands-on manual therapy in a 50min/hour about once a week or less depending on the severity of the pain-issue. I will also check ergonomics of your office/home desk set-up; lifting technique; sitting/standing/sleeping posture and provide pictures for corrections, supports/lumbar rolls and specific techniques for your unique situation. Patients will always get a take home exercise or directive even if its a one time visit.

The methods Lisa operates under orthopedically are: McKenzie Method using direction specific positions for pain relief. Manually: osteopathic indirect and direct techniques of tissue restriction release as taught in Craniosacral Therapy (www.upledger.com) and Biovalent Systems (www.biovalentsystems.com). These manual approaches use the idea of system-interaction to relieve the restrictions and limitations of the body to provide more options for repair, reorganization and renewal of tissue and fluid dynamics.

Lisa currently treats pain and limited motion due to: lifting injuries, car crash trauma, overuse, radiating pain in legs and arms, acute-onset spine pain, headaches, surgery or injury that won’t resolve easily. Woman’s Health issues of: chronic sacroiliac pain, post-partum weakness, low back, and pelvic floor issues of leakage or pain bladder urge and weakness.
